American Elements Thulium Nanoparticles
Subcategory: Pure Element; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: Formula: Tm; CAS Number: 7440-30-4
Material Notes: General DescriptionThulium (Tm) Nanoparticles, nanodots or nanopowder are black spherical high surface area particles. Nanoscale Thulium Particles are typically 25 - 100 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 30 – 60 m 2 /g range. Nano Thulium Particles are also available in passivated and Ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Research into applications for Thulium nanocrystals has focused on its magnetic nanoparticle and luminescence properties, and use as a dopant in glass and optical fibers, in phosphors, nanophosphors and doped phosphorous nanoparticles, i n nanosensors and nanodevices using caged atoms in nanoparticles doped with a few atoms of thulium as the emitter of blue light and for their potential electrical, dielectric, magnetic, optical, imaging, catalytic, biomedical and bioscience properties and for use in coatings, plastics, nanowire, nanofiber and textiles and in alloy and catalyst applications.
