Features

Chevron Tool Joint Compound is an aluminum complex grease designed principally for the lubrication of drill collars, tool joints and pipe threads.

It contains copper flake and graphite, fortified with extreme pressure and antiwear additives.

Chevron Tool Joint Compound:

  • provides high antiweld protection and withstands high pressures
  • stays on threads under severe torquing action
  • protects the shoulders and thread faces of the tool joint against damage from galling or seizure during makeup or disassembly
  • provides excellent corrosion, oxidation resistance
  • provides good brushability at low temperatures.
Chevron Tool Joint Compound is waterproof and highly resistant to washoff by water or drilling mud.

Applications

Chevron Tool Joint Compound is the preferred recommendation for the threads and shoulders of rotary shouldered tool joints and the entire drill string in most drilling applications.
