Features

Chevron Fuel Oil 6 is a blend of residua and gas oil cutter stock and meets the viscosity requirements of ASTM D 396, Standard Specification for Fuel Oils, grade designation No.6. The sulfur content may vary depending on the local air pollution regulations. Chevron Fuel Oil 6has high heat content and low levels of sediment and water.

Chevron Fuel Oil 6 is a viscous, black product containing cracked tars in some locations. Preheating is required for handling, proper atomization and burning.

Applications

Chevron Fuel Oil 6 is designed to:

  • provide readily ignitable fuel dispersible on fine droplets
  • burn cleanly with minimum firebox and stack deposits
  • burn with a radiant flame for good heat transfer.
Chevron Fuel Oil 6 is for use in large steam boilers, drying kilns, and ovens.
