Advanced Elastomer Systems Santoprene® 121-79 W233 Thermoplastic Rubber
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Polymer; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: A black thermoplastic elastomer with excellent adhesion to vulcanized thermoset EPDM rubber, specifically formulated for injection 'corner molding' applications. Key Features: Excellent adhesion to vulcanized EPDM rubber; Specially formulated as corner molding material in automotive glass run channel to replace thermoset EPDM rubber corner molding materials; Good melt flow properties; Good compression properties; Short processing time compared to thermoset EPDM rubber Additional processing comments: This thermoplastic rubber is a shear-dependent material that can be processed on conventional thermoplastic equipment for injection molding. Material can be recycled. SANTOPRENE rubber is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Values below are for injection molded plaques, side gated, 82.6 mm x 117.5 mm x 3.0 mm. Tensile properties measured across flow. Data provided by Advanced Elastomer Systems.
