BASF Elastollan® 685A15N Polyester Type Polyurethane Elastomer
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Polymer; Polyurethane, TP; Thermoplastic
Key Words: TPU Rubbers
Material Notes: This grade is FDA compliant, section 177.2600 and 177.1680, for both wet and dry contact with food. The Elastollan 600 Series of products listed are products that are part of a new series of polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU). They are specifically formulated for extruded profile, sheet and film applications. They exhibit excellent abrasion resistance, toughness and transparency. With respect to processing they are generally easy to process and have a very wide processing window. In some cases it is as high as 25 to 30°C. As with all TPU products this grade must be dried prior to processing. Property values below are typical values based on molded plaques cured 20 hours at 100°C before testing.
