SKAMOL insulating castables have the following characteristics:

Max. service temperature: Up to 1100°C (2102°F)
Back-up insulation or hot-face uses
For casting and gunning
Products are based on fired Moler aggregates, refractory materials, or exfoliated vermiculite
Effective insulation
Quick and economical installation
Used as monolithic heat insulation in a wide range of industrial kilns and furnaces, boilers, chimneys, and flues
The Vermicast grades are favored as infill in aluminum reduction cell cathodes due to their non-wetting capacity to molten metal and good bath resistance.
