This page allows you to search in Metric Units. Try these other methods of searching:

Choose a Search Category (Required)
Scroll down the list below and highlight a material category.  The list contains all current categories of Thermoplastics, Thermosets, Ferrous Metals, Nonferrous Metals and Ceramics in the database.

Choose a Material Property
Scroll down and highlight a material property from the list below.  You may choose up to three material properties.  Keep in mind that the unit system is Metric.  Then Set the Range (required for each material property) by entering the minimum and/or maximum values for the chosen material property.

Choose to Return Materials that Match at Least 1 or All of the Material Property Ranges (Optional)
Click on one of the radio buttons below.  The default option is All material property ranges.  See Property-Based Search Hints on how to use this option.

Submit the Query (Required)
Click on the 'Find' button below to submit the query.

Find

Instructions: First, choose a material search category. This can be a general category like 'Polymer' or a specific category like 'Nylon 66'. You can use the second box to select an optional second material search category; the search routine will look for materials from category 1 OR category 2. Next, select a material property from the drop-down list and enter the range. You may enter a minimum AND/OR a maximum value; one or both values are fine. Select up to two more material properties and set the ranges. Choose whether you want the resulting materials to match at least one or all of the material properties. Then click the 'Find' button. Click a material from the results list to see the full datasheet. For more detailed instructions and examples, click here.

Notes:

  • Scientific notation may be used in the Min. and Max. range boxes (e. g. 1.04E-16).
  • Text searches can be performed from any page - use the Quick Search in the bar at the top right.
