- Highly suitable as loose-fill insulation in e.g. cavities, castables, and plastic materials and as fire protection in chipboards
- Used in steelworks and foundries for hot topping molten steel
- Due to absorbing and free-flowing properties also an excellent absorbent for spillage of oil, grease, chemicals and other liquids for environmental safety.
