General Description

SX158A is a plasma densified tungsten carbide/cobalt spray powder. It is closely tailored to meet the stringent requirements of turbine engine manufacturers. It is similar to Deloros 52F and a superior substitute for Metcos 73F-NS-1. SX158A can also be used for less critical applications, as identified below.

  • Low-temperature, fretting-resistant coatings for turbine engines
  • Wear-resistant coatings for pumps and compressor shafts
