Thermal Ceramics Vermiculite Granules
Material Notes: Vermiculite Granules, exfoliated at temperatures of 1800°F to 1900°F (982.2°C to 1037°C), are available in standard U.S. granule size #3. With a very low conductivity and relatively high fusion point, Vermiculite Granules is a useful bulk insulation for blast furnace hot metal transfer equipment and continuous casting tundish insulation. It is also used as a topping for ingot molds, as an insulating base for hot ingot transfer and even loose fill over soaking pit covers. In addition, Vermiculite Granules are used in a wide variety of packing and shipping applications.Features: Exfoliated at temperatures of 1800°F to 1900°F (982°C to 1038°C) Available in standard U.S. granule size #3 Very low conductivity Fusion point is relatively lowInformation provided by Thermal Ceramics
