Thermal Ceramics Cloth Kao-Tex 1000
Material Notes: Kao-Tex 1000 textile products are made from a highly textured form of silica and are coated on one side with a proprietary treatment. They are especially designed and developed for temperatures up to 1000°F (538°C). Kao-Tex 1000 textile products have properties which include excellent tensile strength, outstanding abrasion resistance and low thermal conductivity. The cloth has excellent seam strength for sewing and handling which is required for the fabrication of items such as gloves and mittens. The rope is available in two different constructions – twisted and braided. Kao-Tex 1000 textile products have improved performance over asbestos textiles in five main areas: softer hand and feel, better thermal insulating properties than asbestos material of the same weight, better dimensional stability, abrasion resistance, and strength. These advantages result from the interaction of three factors: the use of highly textured yarn, the density of the weave, and the coated surface treatment. Applications: Welding curtains Fire curtains Oven curtains Drop curtains Stress relieving blankets Welding blankets Safety blankets Thermal insulation blankets Expansion joints Piping insulation Electrical insulation Gas and liquid filtration Laminates Gaskets and seals Safety garments Gloves and mittens Aprons Spats Sleeves Cable and wire insulation (thermal and/or electrical) Hose insulation Fuel line insulation Door and oven gasketin.
