Material Notes:
TIMREX® LB 1016 is an ammonia and chlorine-free aqueous dispersion of very fine graphite powder optimized for the inner coating of battery can surfaces. In alkaline batteries, application of TIMREX® LB 1016 prevents accelerated corrosion of the cans Ni or Co layer. This allows increased MnO2 contents in the cathode mass.

The coating layer further improves the contact between the can and the cathode mass. This leads to lower internal electrical resistance, improves performance in the high current drain regime and extends battery life.
