Excellent resistance to weak acids and organic solvents. Good resistance to strong acids and weak bases. Poor resistance to strong bases.

PYRON® oxidized PAN fiber is chemically resistant, thermally stable fiber derived from the heat stabilization of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based precursor. PYRON retains the favorable textile handling characteristics of acrylics. It is a good thermal and electrical insulator.
