General Description

Erbium (Er) Nanoparticles, nanodots or nanopowder are black spherical high surface area particles. Nanoscale Erbium Particles are typically 10 - 80 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 30 – 60 m 2 /g range. Nano Erbium Particles are also available in passivated and Ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Research into applications for Erbium nanocrystals has focused on use as a dopant in silicon and silicon matrix, lanthanum fluoride, glass and optical fibers, in phosphors, nanophosphors and doped phosphorous nanoparticles and for their potential electrical, optical, imaging, biomedical and bioscience properties and for use in coatings, plastics, nanowire, and in alloy and catalyst applications.
