American Elements Iridium Nanoparticles
Subcategory: Pure Element; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: Formula: Ir; CAS Number: 7439-88-5
Material Notes: General DescriptionIridium (Ir) Nanoparticles, nanodots or nanopowder are black spherical high surface area metal particles. Nanoscale Iridium Particles are typically 20 - 100 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 1 – 5 m 2 /g range. Nano Iridium Particles are also available in Ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Applications for Iridium nanocrystals include numerous uses in catalysts, electrocatalysts, chemical synthesis, biphasic catalysis and hydrogenation reactions, and as a Magnetic Nanopowder, in polymer membranes to create Active Polymer Membranes and in other coatings, plastics, nanofiber and textiles and in nanowire and other catalysis applications.
