American Elements Titanium Nanoparticles
Subcategory: Pure Element; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: Formula: Ti; CAS Number: 7440-32-6
Material Notes: General DescriptionTitanium (Ti) Nanoparticles, nanodots or nanopowder are spherical or faceted high surface area metal particles. Nanoscale Titanium Particles are typically 10 - 80 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 15 – 20 m 2 /g range and also available in with an average particle size of 300 - 700 nm range with a specific surface area of approximately 1 - 5 m 2 /g. Nano Titanium Particles are also available in Ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Applications for titanium nanocrystals include as an anti-microbial, anti-biotic and anti-fungal agent, as a Ultra Violet (UV) Block and anti-scratch additive when incorporated in coatings, plastics, soap, nanofiber, bandages, alloy and textiles and in nanowire. Further research is being done for their potential electrical, dielectric, magnetic, optical, imaging, catalytic, biomedical and bioscience properties.
