Silberline Aquavet® 251-136M
Subcategory: Ceramic/Metallic Coating
Material Notes: Aquavet® grades are aluminum pigment pellets designed for use in aqueous inks for flexographic and gravure printing. The pellets are composed of 80% aluminum pigment and 20% of a proprietary polymeric dispersant/inhibitor blend. The dispersant/inhibitor blend allow the pigment pellets to disperse directly in water or for faster dispersibility in a water/co-solvent blend. The inhibitor is effective at reducing the aluminum-water reaction in a broad range of waterborne ink resins at higher pH levels. Due to their unique carrier system, Aquavet® pigments can be used in ink systems where block resistance and water spotting resistance are required. High or excessive shear during processing will reduce the effectiveness of the inhibitor and should be avoided.Applications: Printing Inks; Waterborne
