Silberline EternaBrite® 651-1
Subcategory: Ceramic/Metallic Coating
Key Words: ASTM D962-86 Type II, Class A; Fed. TT-P-320D Type II, Class A
Material Notes: EternaBrite® pigments are leafing aluminum pigment pastes carried in isopropyl alcohol. These grades are based on cornflake geometry and offer enhanced leafing properties in solvent and waterborne flexographic and gravure inks for stronger metallic effects. Although EternaBrite® pigments can be used in aqueous inks they are not treated to protect against the aluminum-water reaction and special care must be taken to evaluate the gassing stability of each grade in the final ink formulation. High or excessive shear during ink production can initiate the aluminum-water reaction. Care must be taken to avoid excessive or high shear during processing when used in ink formulations containing water.Applications: Trade & Maintenance
