Tenax Pyromex® Staple Fiber CPX 2d Crimped Carbon Fiber
Subcategory: Carbon Fiber; Carbon
Material Notes: Pyromex® is an oxidized organic polyacrlonitrile (PAN) fiber with excellent heat and flame resistance. It also features excellent resistance to chemicals and good electrical insulation properties. In addition, unlike inorganic fibers, this yarn is highly processible for yarn spinning and weaving. Pyromex® is widely used in anti-spattering sheets for welding, fleeces or needle felts for heat protection in the auto or aerospace industries, heat protective clothing, protective covering for furnaces, heat insulators, brake or clutch discs, and high temperature carbon/carbon composite (C/C) parts. It is available as tow or staple fiber. Information provided by Toho Carbon Fibers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toho Tenax Co., Ltd.
