Material Notes: Normalized 925°C (1700°F) in 32 mm rounds, machined to 25 or 13.7 mm rounds, pseudocarburized at 925°C (1700°F) for 8 hours, box cooled to room temperature, reheated to 855°C (1570°F), oil quenched, reheated to 800°C (1470°F), oil quenched, 150°C (300°F) temper, tested in 12.8 mm rounds. Post oil quenched hardness 25 mm: 302 HB at 7/8 radius, 265 HB at half-radius, 258 HB at center; 50 mm: 235 HB at 7/8 radius, 215 HB at half-radius, 207 HB at center
