Ductile Iron grade 80-60-03
Subcategory: Ductile Iron; Alloy Cast Iron; Metal
Key Words: UNS F34100, ASTM A476-70, SAE AMS5316, paper-mill dryer rolls
Material Notes: Carbon represents the total carbon in the above composition. Cerium is an optional constituent in ductile iron. Most ductile irons are specified based on mechanical properties and have loosely defined compositions. For example, 80-60-03 ductile iron is specified to have a minimum tensile strength of 80 ksi (552 MPa), a yield strength of 60 ksi (414 MPa) and an elongation of 3%. As cast. Applications include paper-mill dryer rolls at temperatures up to 230°C.
