Material Notes:
Carbon represents the total carbon in the above composition. Most ductile irons are specified based on mechanical properties and have loosely defined compositions. Austenitic, stress relieved at 650°C, or solution treated at 950°C if necessary to dissolve carbides. Applications include pressure parts, machine components and propellers.
