AISI Type 316N Stainless Steel, annealed sheet
Subcategory: Stainless Steel; T 300 Series Stainless Steel; Metal
Key Words: UNS S31651, AISI 316N, ISO 4954 X6CrNiMoTi122E, ISO 683/13 21
Material Notes: Nonhardenable, higher strength than conventional 316, yet retains ductility, as well as good corrosion and heat resistance. Nonmagnetic annealed, becomes slightly magnetic when cold worked. Good corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts, and acids and molybdenum content helps resistance to marine environments. High creep strength at elevated temperatures. Fabrication characteristics similar to Types 302 and 304. Applications include chemical processing, food processing, photographic, pharmaceutical, textile finishing, marine exterior trim.
