ASTM A812 HSLA Steel Grade 80 Sheet
Subcategory: ASTM Steel; Low Alloy Steel; Metal
Material Notes: Iron content calculated as balance. Silicon content spec applies to silicon-killed steel. HSLA (High-strength low-alloy) steels are used for their higher strength and atmospheric corrosion resistance. They can be considered to be microalloyed steel and are designed for mechanical rather than compositional specs. ASTM 812 is used where its strength and durability is required such as welded layered pressure vessels.
