Material Notes:
AK Steel 2205 provides a combination of high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and stress-corrosion cracking resistance as well as very good pitting resistance, and low thermal expansion. The alloy is useful in a variety of applications that include heat exchangers, piping, pressure vessels, tanks, fans, pulp and paper production equipment, oilfield equipment and press rolls.
