Bales Nibore™ Electroless Nickel - Boron Nitride Mold Coating
Subcategory: Nickel Alloy; Ceramic/Metallic Coating
Material Notes: Nibore™ is an electroless nickel phosphorus coating that incorporates boron nitride particles in a co-deposited nickel matrix. This unique process is formulated to produce a uniformly dispersed boron nitride deposit. Nibore™ boasts a 54 RC hardness, which can be increased to 67 RC after heat treating. The additional hardness adds to the unique capabilities of this engineered coating treatment. The extremely low coefficient of friction has proven valuable in high wear applications where galling and release are an issue. With a working temperature of 1250°F, this deposit will perform in the most extreme applications. Information provided by Bales Mold Service.
