BOHLER K340 ISODUR® Premium Cold Work Steel
Subcategory: Cold Work Steel; Alloy Steel; Metal
Material Notes:
A unique cold work tool steel designed for stamping, cutting and forming applications. The high yield strength and good toughness properties make this tooling material suitable for applications where chipping or premature wear of "traditional" tool steel grades such as AISI A2, S7, D2, etc., is a problem. BOHLER K340 ISODUR® is also an excellent choice when working with materials such as stainless steel, mild steel and copper alloys where adhesive wear is prevalent. BOHLER K340 ISODUR® is characterized by: - High compressive strength
- Good wear resistance
- Low levels of non-metallic inclusions results in good electrical discharge machining (EDM) characteristics
- Excellent polishability
- Retains hardness during surface treatments
