BOHLER M314 EXTRA Pre-hardened Holder Stainless Steel
Subcategory: Stainless Steel; Alloy Steel; Metal
Material Notes: High chromium stainless steelBOHLER M314 EXTRA is an improved free-machining stainless steel that is supplied in the pre-hardened condition at a hardness level of approximately 300 Brinell. This high chromium stainless steel has been alloyed with sulfur to provide excellent machinability in the pre-hardened condition. The use of M314 EXTRA for the holder material in combination with STAVAX ®ESR from UDDEHOLM for the inserts will allow the entire mold to be fabricated from a corrosion resistant steel. M314 EXTRA is characterized by: - Lower mold production costs due to improved machinability
- Uniform hardness levels throughout the cross section
- Good dimensional stability during machining
- High level of corrosion resistance
