Spray Formed Grade TOUGHTEC SF
Subcategory: Chrome-moly Steel; Alloy Steel
Material Notes: Chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloyed steelThe TOUGHTEC SF steel grade is a highly alloyed spray formed tool steel, offering a combination of excellent wear resistance and toughness. It is designed for severe abrasive applications and due to the spray forming process the alloy combines high wear resistance with high ductility. TOUGHTEC SF is suitable for screws for plastic injection and extrusion, cold and hot forming rolls, hot shearing knives and hot forging trimming dies. TOUGHTEC SF is characterized by: - Very high wear resistance
- Very good toughness
- Good compressive strength
- Good dimensional stability at heat treatment and in service
- Very good through hardening properties
- Very good resistance to tempering back
- Good WEDM properties
- Good surface treatment properties
