Deutsche Titan Tikrutan® RT 18 Pd Low-Alloyed Titanium
Subcategory: Titanium Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Close Analogs: Ti 3 Pd; DIN 3.7255
Material Notes: Tikrutan RT has proved its worth in particular in hydrochloric and sulphuric acid solutions of low concentration and with an insufficient addition of inhibitors even at high temperatures as well as in oxalic acid. The improvement in corrosion resistance is brought about by anodic polarization of the titanium caused by galvanic contact with palladium concentrated in the surface zone.Applications include coolers, condensers, propellers, jet pumps, and propeller shafts.
