Elkem Minsil® 2-6 mm Granulated Ferrosilicon
Subcategory: Metal
Material Notes:
Ferrosilicon is used both as a deoxidizer after decarburization –because of the strong affinity for oxygen of silicon– and for alloying. Silicon increases namely strength and wear resistance, elasticity (spring steels), scale resistance (heat resistant steels), and lowers electrical conductivity and magnetostriction (electrical steels).
