Hogen Duralloy H5W, 70 Tungsten/30 Copper PM Metal Composite
Subcategory: Metal Matrix Composite; Copper Alloy; Tungsten Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: Hogen Industries Powder Metallurgy Metal Composite Tungsten Alloy RWMA Class 10
Material Notes: RWMA Class 10. Hogen Duralloy refractory alloys are manufactured by pressing, sintering, and infiltrating tungsten with copper or silver. Typical Resistance Welding Applications: Class 10 material is recommended as facings or inserts for projection welding electrodes and for flash and butt welding dies where high electrical conductivity is desirable and relatively high malleability is necessary. H5W is used for light duty projection welding dies requiring low pressure. Another common use is tips on contact shoe facings used in high frequency continuous welding processes.
