International Mold Steel NAK-HH Precipitation Hardened Mold Steel
Subcategory: Tool Steel; Mold Steel; Metal
Material Notes: Description: NAK-HH is a precipitation, or age hardened mold steel with a through hardness of approximately 45/48 HRC. NAK-HH is ideal for use in plastic, composite and rubber molds where impact resistance is not critical. It is vacuum-arc re-melted steel with uniform grain structure, uniform hardness and excellent dimensional stability. Unique Characteristics: - Vacuum-arc re-melt manufacturing process.
- 45 HRC hardness.
- Uniform hardness throughout, even in heavy sections.
- Uniform grain structure with no pinholes, inclusions or hard spots.
- Machines up to 30% faster than 30 HRC P20 mold steels.
- Never needs stress relieving, even after heavy machining.
