Subcategory: Superalloy; Copper Alloy; Nickel Alloy
Key Words: ASME SB-111, SB-171, SB-359, SB-395, SB-466, SB-467, SB-543, Boiler Code Sections III, IV, VIII, IX; SAE J461, J463, MIL-T-15005, MIL-C-15726, MIL-T-16420, MIL-T-22214, Monel Nickel-Copper Alloy, UNS C71500; CDA 715; ASTM B 111, B 122, B 151, B 171, B 359, B 395, B 432, B 466, B 467, B 543, B 552
Material Notes: Nickel content above includes cobalt; copper content as remainder. A copper-nickel alloy of the 70-30 type having superior weldability. It is resistant to corrosion and bio-fouling in sea water, has good fatigue strength, and has relatively high thermal conductivity. Used for sea-water condensers, condenser plates, distiller tubes, evaporator and heat exchanger tubes, and salt-water piping. Standard product forms are round, hexagon, flats, forging stock, pipe, tube, plate, sheet, and wire. Data provided by the manufacturer, Special Metals.
