Special Metals BRIGHTRAY™ Alloy S Electrical Resistance Alloy
Subcategory: Superalloy; Electronic/Magnetic Alloy; Nickel Alloy
Key Words: UNS N06003; DIN 17742; ASTM B 344; Werkstoff Nr. 2.4869; SAE AMS 5682; MIL-C-5031
Material Notes: Nickel content as remainderand includes cobalt. A nickel-chromium electrical-resistance alloy for use at temperatures up to 2100°F (1150°C) under continuous operating conditions. It is similar to BRIGHTRAY alloy C but does not contain rare-earth additions. It has good resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and reducing atmospheres. The alloy has a low temperature coefficient of resistance. Used for heating elements in industrial furnaces. The standard product forms are strip and wire. Data provided by the manufacturer, Special Metals.
