Industeel CLC 17.13.3 LN Nitrogen Containing 18Cr-10Ni-2Mo Austenitic Stainless Steel
Subcategory: Stainless Steel; T S30000 Series Stainless Steel; Metal; Austenitic
Key Words: EURONORM 1.4429 X2CrNiMoN17.13.3, AFNOR Z3CND 17.12Az, DIN W 1.4429, ASTM A240 TP 316LN, UNS S31653
Material Notes: Description: CLC 17-13-3LN is a nitrogen alloyed austenitic stainless steel with Mo additions. Its low carbon content avoids intergranular corrosion, even on welded pieces without an ulterior water quenching. Alloys CLC 17-13-3LN exhibits austenitic microstructure free of deleterious carbide precipitations in grainboundaries. The grade contains residual ferrite (= 2%) after solution annealing (1050 - 1150°C / 1922 - 2102°F) and water quenching. Higher Molybdenum content improves uniform and localized corrosion resistance. Nitrogen additions improve the structure stability and increase the yield strength compared to CLC 17-12-2L. Main properties of CLC 17-13-3LN are : high ductility, easy weldability, mirror polishability. Typical applications are food and beverage processing industry, chemical industry and chemical tankers.
