Subcategory: Lead Alloy; Tin Alloy; Nonferrous Metal; Solder/Braze Alloy
Material Notes: General information on the Johnson Matthey soft solder and flux product line: A wide range of Tin/Lead solders suitable for a variety of applications is available from Johnson Matthey. Most materials can be offered as solid wires or as flux cored, to suit the required applications. A wide range of Silver containing solders are suitable for applications where higher strength, increased corrosion resistance or electrical conductivity are required. In some markets the use of Lead or Cadmium containing solders is prohibited in potable water systems, this has led to the increase use of the Silver bearing and Copper bearing-Lead free solders. Solders are available as: Sticks wire (solid or flux cored), preforms, ingots, ribbon bars and solderpaste. Federal Specification QQ-S-571 50B ASTM Grade Sn 50 BS.EN 29453 Alloy No. 3
