Sandvik C0F Binderless Cemented Carbide, Seal Grade
Subcategory: Metal Matrix Composite; Carbide; Tungsten Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Material Notes: Sandvik binderless carbide C0F exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion. In applications where cemented carbide is in contact with corrosive media, particularly aqueous media, the metallic binder is slowly corroded, resulting in progressive wear of the cemented carbide. Corrosion cannot be completely avoided in cemented carbide with “corrosion resistant binders”. Without any binder, binderless is more resistant to corrosion than any other cemented carbide grade. Features: Binderless cemented carbide grade.Very high hardness and excellent wear resistance due to the composition and the fine grain size.Relatively low toughness, but higher toughness than ceramics (Al2O3, SiC, SiAlON).Very high resistance to corrosion due to the absence of binder.High thermal conductivity.Information provided by Sandvik
