Sandvik 8UF Ultra-fine Grain Cemented Carbide for Printed Circuit Board Printing
Subcategory: Metal Matrix Composite; Carbide; Tungsten Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Material Notes: SANDVIK ultra-fine grain cemented carbide grades are the result of an extensive development programme, aimed at optimising the very best of cemented carbide technology to achieve an exceptional combination of hardness, toughness and strength. These extraordinary properties have been achieved by producing tungsten carbide with a grain size of only 0.4 µm. In addition, a special additive maximises corrosion resistance without loss of toughness. SANDVIK ultra-fine grain cemented carbide grades have been developed to meet the latest demands, placed on solid carbide tooling by modern technology. SANDVIK grade 8UF incorporates 8% cobalt (Co) and 92% tungsten carbide (WC). 8UF is recommended for solid carbide rotary tool applications in the ISO K01/05 range. Information provided by Sandvik
