Sandvik H15F Extra-fine Grain Cemented Carbide for Rotary Tools
Subcategory: Metal Matrix Composite; Carbide; Tungsten Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Material Notes: SANDVIK extra-fine grain cemented carbide grades have been developed to meet the exacting demands placed on solid carbide tooling by modern technology. SANDVIK extra-fine grain cemented carbide grades are true submicron grain size tungsten carbide alloys. The tungsten carbide grain size is 0,8 µm, which is precisely controlled. These grade offer an excellent combination of strength and toughness. In addition, a special additive maximises corrosion resistance without loss of toughness. SANDVIK grade H15F incorporates 15% cobalt (Co) and 85% tungsten carbide (WC). H15F is recommended for solid carbide rotary tool applications in the ISO K30/K40 (USA C1-2) range. It has special advantages where high toughness and sharp edge profiles are needed. Information provided by Sandvik
