Sandvik 9RU10 Spring Wire
Subcategory: Special-Purpose Steel; Precipitation Hardening Stainless; Metal
Close Analogs: ASTM 631; EN 1.4568
Material Notes: Sandvik 9RU10 is a precipitation-hardenable steel of type 17Cr/7Ni PH. Compared with the other Sandvik spring wire grades Sandvik 9RU10 has: the highest relaxation resistance at elevated temperaturesthe highest fatigue strengthSprings coiled from Sandvik 9RU10 wire virtually retain their original form after tempering - for example, as loops and hooks, whereas springs made from conventional 18/8 steels generally suffer deformation, which has to be allowed for when coiling. Service temperature: -200 to 350°C (-330 to 660°F) Information provided by Sandvik
