Deloro® alloy 50
Subcategory: Superalloy; Nickel Base
Close Analogs: Stoody 41A, Nuc Alloy 41, Stoody 41C, Stoody 41D, AWS A5.13 RNiCr-B
Key Words: MIL-N-24422, Comp A, MIL-R-17131, AWS 5.13 RNiCr-B, Deloro Stellite Inc.
Material Notes: Nickel base. Provides maximum amount of abrasion and metal-on-metal wear resistance for cast components. Superior wear resistance. Adequate corrosion resistance. Tungsten carbide tools allow for machining with difficulty, but if turning or cutting operations are required, hardness should be restricted to less than 55 HRC. Finished by grinding using silicon carbide wheels. Applications include seal rings, plastic extrusion screws, valve trim, thrust bearings, cylinder liners, stem guides, and sleeves. Normally resistant to atmospheric, steam, salt water and salt spray corrosion. Excellent oxidation resistance up to melting range. Satisfactory resistance to some organic acids, but high corrosion rates in hot, strong, inorganic acids. Used in the as-cast condition.Data provided by the manufacturer, Deloro Stellite, Inc.
