Material Notes:
To manufacture plastic parts, it is necessary to have steels with a high wear resistance, good polishability and etching ability, adequate corrosion resistance, and cost efficient machining properties. Employed for this purpose, as a function of the requirements are case hardening steels, quenched and tempered steels, corrosion-resistant steels, nitriding steels and maraging steels.

Holder Block material is supplied preheat treated to Rc 24/32. It is a free machining alloy tool steel designed especially for plastic mold base material and for holder blocks for die casting dies.

Applications Holder material primarily for both plastic molds and die casting dies
