Universal Wire Works 430 Stainless Steel Electrode
Subcategory: T 400 Series Stainless Steel; Stainless Steel; Metal
Key Words: AWS E430-16
Material Notes: Iron content is calculated as remainder. Universal 430 electrode deposits contain approximately 16% chromium in a carefully balanced composition to provide outstanding resistance at temperatures up to 1600 degrees F. Deposits are martensitic in structure requiring preheat and postweld heat treatment. Optimum physical and corrosion properties are obtained when the proper heat treat operation is done after welding. Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
