Material Notes: Iron content is calculated as remainder. Filler metals of this classification are most often used to weld UNS 21900 base metals. This alloy is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel exhibiting high strength and good toughness over a wide range of temperatures. Deposited weld metal is not subject to carbide precipitation due to the Nitrogen alloying which inhibits carbide precipitation in the weld zone.
