Universal Wire Works ER317L Stainless Steel Bare Wire
Subcategory: Stainless Steel; Metal
Material Notes: Iron content is calculated as remainder. The alloy content of this alloy is somewhat higher than the 316L particularly in molybdenum. ER317L is used for welding alloys of similar composition in severe corrosive environments where crevice and pitting corrosion are a concern. The low carbon content increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion without the use of stabilizers. Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
