Universal Wire Works ER430 Stainless Steel Bare Wire
Subcategory: Stainless Steel; Metal
Material Notes: Iron content is calculated as remainder. This alloy generally contains between 15 and 17 percent chromium. The composition is balanced by providing sufficient chromium to give adequate corrosion resistance for the usual applications, and still remain ductile in the heat treated condition. Welding with alloy 430 requires preheat and postweld heat treatment for optimum mechanical properties. Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
