Universal Wire Works 60 Nickel Alloy Welding Wire
Subcategory: Nickel Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: AWS A5.14 Class ERNiCu-7; ASME SFA-5.14 Class ERNiCu-7
Material Notes: Copper content is calculated as remainder. Alloy 60 is used for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SMA) of Monel type alloys 400 and 404, as well as overlaying on steel. When GMAW or MIG welding overlays on steel a first pass of Alloy 61 is recommended. When using the submerged arc process with a flux, a layer of Alloy 61 is not necessary. Alloy 60 dissimilar metal welding applications include: joining Monel type alloys and nickel 200 to copper and copper-nickel alloys or Monel type alloys to nickel 200. Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
