Universal Wire Works 617 Nickel Alloy Welding Wire
Subcategory: Nickel Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: AWS A5.14 Class ERNiCrCoMo-1; ASME SFA-5.14 Class ERNiCrCoMo-1
Material Notes: Nickel content is calculated as remainder. Alloy 617 is used for TIG and MIG welding of Inconel type alloy 617 and alloys of similar composition. Alloy 617 welds produce high stress-rupture strength in prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Alloy 617 is best used on applications subjected to elevated temperatures about 1400 degrees. Alloy 617 is excellent for welding alloys 600, 601, 800h, 800HT and 803, and for cast alloys HK-40, HP and HP-45 MOD. Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
