Universal Wire Works 622 Nickel Alloy Welding Wire
Subcategory: Nickel Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: AWS A5.14 Class ERNiCrMo-10; ASME SFA-5.14 Class ERNiCrMo-10
Material Notes: Nickel content is calculated as remainder. Alloy 622 is an alloy of nickel with chromium, molybdenum, tungsten as principle alloying elements. It is used to weld alloys of similar composition as well as dissimilar joints between nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys and stainless steels, low alloy steels, and carbon steels. Alloy 622 is also used as a cladding overlay as well as flame spray applications. Alloy 622 offers excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing as well as reducing media in a wide variety of chemical process environments. Alloy 622 exhibits superior resistance to stress corrosion, cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
